About Our Elders (Trustees)

Chair of Elders
Anna Burden
Our family has grown up in Birmingham after we moved here in 1999, joining Rowheath Pavilion Church in 2017 when we moved across the city to this area. I am passionate about justice and mission, challenging things that oppose these and seeing people fulfil their potential. I enjoy meeting people and learning new things. I have worked for the church’s international development charity Christian Aid for over 12 years, and am a trustee of an interfaith charity Mums and Families.

Ruth Seadon, Elder- Pastoral Car
I am a retired secondary mathematics teacher. My Husband Phil and I have been part of this church for over 30 years.  Prior to that we were part of a Christian Community in inner city Birmingham.  I have one son and four grandchildren who are also part of the church.  I volunteer as a librarian with Formission College. My interests include singing, reading Sci-Fantasy and taking my camera for a walk in the countryside.

I was born and bred in Rutland but have lived in Birmingham for more than 25 years and in Bournville for most of those, raising our family here. I love cycling around the city on its roads and canals, and also getting out into the countryside to go hill walking. I have worked in fundraising and publicity at Birmingham City Mission for many years, a local charity which supports the homeless and others in need of help.

Stephen Gray
Born in Birmingham, I studied Japanese and have worked mainly in the engineering and software industries. Life has been a great adventure since Jesus came into my life when I was eighteen, and I love exploring  the meaning of life with the people who come on Alpha. I enjoy walking in the mountains.
